Ahh, the only breakfast foods that I really like are bagels. I don't like milk, so cereal is too plain. And, most "hot" breakfast foods (pancakes, sausage, etc.) get me sick if I eat them right when I wake up (which is when I like to eat breakfast). So, bagels it is. :D

Ahh. I tend to have Philadelphia + ham in my breakfast bagels.

Or I have eggs benedict instead. Yummy.

Sweet and sour red cabbage on brown rice. Awesome for breakfast!

Cheerios are only good with really cold milk. And, bananas or raspberries.

My favorite breakfast? I can't remember what it is called. :(

Years ago - a Portuguese friends Grandmother made me something - and I still can't remember the name of it!

It was coffee and bread soup (that's what it looked like to me at least)

It DID have coffee as the "broth" and bread - but there were other things.

It tasted GREAT, and a full bowl of Stimulant to rock me afterwards.

Can anyone help me? I want dearly to find what it really is - because I've been craving it for over 10 years now.

i don't know if this is similar, but i'm italian and used to have "pane e latte" when i was young. basically espresso, milk, toasted to hard bread, sprinkled with sugar. you have to get the bread good and stale and toasted well so it goes slightly chewy in the milk.

Okay - she was old-school (spent most her life in Portugal) - and didn't speak English. I didn't speak Portuguese, either.

I woke up hung-over from a party at a friends house - my buddy was stepping out for the morning - told me to hang back, and his grandma would make me breakfast. I wandered into the kitchen - still fuzzy - in time to watch her pour 2/3 pot of coffee into a bowl - and she gave it to me.

I distinctly remember it, because I looked at her - and she knew what was running through my mind without a single world spoken. Smiled, and gestured to eat it.

That sounds totally loaded - borderline porno-esque, but seriously - it was a killer breakfast. I asked my friend the next day, and it was a strange name - so I forgot it. (not to mention, that was not the only party that weekend)

Anyhow - proof I'm not entirely insane...
