Remember folks. It all has to do with your attitude. Here is a little help to determine where you fit in. :p

Please let me know if this is too 'political' as well. Would not want to promote drinking to the underaged crowd! Aye tis' true!

Good to see that 'Freedom of Speech' and 'Freedom of Press' are alive and kicking thanks to the MOD sword of justice. So was it the picture of Rumsfeld or the actual statement that HE made that was inappropriate. Thanks for the PM. Wait. I didn't get one. Must have struck a chord. That's OK. We archived a copy of the thread for future use. ARRRR! I've done me duty!

I figured that you've spent so much time here that you'd understand the site rules and the fact that we have an entire forum for political discussion and that posts elsewhere will be moved/deleted/edited, ye scurvy dog.

Sorry I didn't send a note home to Mommy explaining you'd been a bad boy...:p

It was not intended to be a political statement. It was just intended to be humorous. But I guess if you can't stand the heat, best to modify the kitchen. As for the 'note to Mommy'. It is usually the respectful thing to do. Sorry, I did not realize this is the MacRumper Room. I'm sure you have to send lots of notes to concerned parents, so what was one more? Though I do seem to recall other 'politcal' postings that seem to have slipped through the cracks somehow. This must be a high profile case. And as such, I suppose it garners more attention. As the saying goes, this too shall pass. Speaking of passing! The gangs all here awaiting the 'ball to drop'! Out with the old and in with the new! :p

We mods can't catch every out of line post, but if you post something in a dialog with us, we'll catch it. ;)

If we PMed everyone whose post we edited we'd never get through the day - the note in the post is sufficient and is SOP as far as I've seen at forums all over. At least on those with a decent amount of traffic.

There is an underlying tone in that last statement. Now where have I heard something like that before? What could possibly crystallize it so well? Ah, I know! Here is a little 'motivation'.

Mustang Mac: Look at the bottom left-hand corner of this message. See that little exclamation mark in the triangle? Do you know what that means? Report. Can you repeat after me? Report. Can you spell Report? R-E-P-O-R-T. Now, go find those posts that express a political viewpoint and have not been posted in the politics forum and click on the little triangle with the exclamation mark in it.

I'm well aware how it works matey. I feel no need to tattle on any Rumpers. Did you tattle on me? Someday you will learn more, grasshopper, about political viewpoints, satire, hardball, etc. But now the party has begun! The mood is light and filled with merriment! Anticipation is intoxicating! WOOOOO!

I suppose I should apologize to you cjc343. You are probably feeling somewhat 'hot and bothered' at present given your past history.

I know I am going to offend some of you, but I just want to make a suggestion.....

There are currently 4 macintosh folding teams. Maccentral, Macaddict, Macrumors, and Mac OS X. I was going to join the MacAddict team, but before I did, I quickly looked at all the other teams that had made it into the top 100.

I wanted to support a Mac team, and I decided in the end to join the MacRumors team, why? because they were in 18th place.

We are constantly trying to gain levels, and I would like to encourage you to join the MacRoumors team so that we can hopefully put a Mac team in the top 10.

I hope you decide to switch.

Feel free to flame me, but I am not going to do anything more than this one post.

That was dated Tue Mar 23, 2004 3:29 pm at the MacAddict forums. Your dreams and aspirations can still be fulfilled! WE indeed shall put a Mac team in the top 10! Viva la differance! :D

Why should I be "hot and bothered"?

Past history is not proper english because both of the words have the same meaning.

I would join Team Mac OS X when they pass MacRumors except for one problem... their top folder is rude. Maybe you all have a better sense of community among yourselves, but you sure don't express that to the people who you are hoping to have join your team. The message I posted was not in any way rude, it stated the facts, and left it at that.

Now, the representatives that have come from Team Mac OS X, have taunted us and been rude in general, if it weren't for that, you would have the power of my 5 computers (yes I know it says 4 right now, one of them is new to Folding) working for your team. Keep that in mind next time you pass us.

We probably overtake you guys in a couple of months again when the heat is over of your app that installs itself on every new mac, without the poor people knowing about it!

Did this guy seen to many pirates movies and fell on his head after he seen one?!?!?

Its ego boosting.

Just GO and LEAVE.

Lets not forget what it took for team Mac OS X had to go through just to get this far... Granted their app is nice, they would be nowhere without the publicity they gained, and the fact that everybody who downloads their app, and doesn't put their own team number in, or erase the one for team Mac OS X, is unknowingly giving points to them...

Now we have a fruitcake who thinks he is a pirate and some way to serious bloke. This is getting bored sooooo soon.

i suggest adding mustang mac to your ignore list

that way this thread becomes much more stomachable

NoahJ -- I don't read my private messages, and I really don't care.
What are you going to say 'I wasn't talking only to you?' yea yea... whatever.

Also that pirate thing is really stupid, makes you all look like idiots.

someone's sig needs a little editing....

Sailfish -- Really nice post, with the spamming of the same stuff over and over, real nice there.

Sooo, we finally see your real face. DAMN, that's ugly...

let's keep this assschmear known as Mustang Mac full of meaningless taunt replies...

All in proper chronological order. I apologize for not giving credit to your team members where credit is due for each post. Sorry I have been so rude. Keep on folding on! Science and humanity thanks you for it. :)

Again, I apologize. I almost forgot.

Past history is not proper english because both of the words have the same meaning.

It is proper english in the context it was used. Some examples.

Background Paper. Pediatric Cancer Survivors: Past History and Future Challanges

Pleural Effusion in a Diver with a Past History of Major Trauma

Designer drugs: past history and future prospects

ARRR! You be puttin' up a good fight matey! Now quit swinging the lead and get a foldin'! The cannons be aimed at yer yardarm, and they be meanin' to hit the target! Ye shall be given quarter when the time has come! Aye tis' true! Yo ho ho! :p

It is still not using proper english to say past history.

This would be correct usage of "Past - History" but that is different from "Past History" because the hyphen seperates the two into different thoughts.

A Look at the Past - History of Dore Lake, Saskatchewan

No. We have not PASSED yet matey! All the fun lies in the chase! Aye tis' true! Until such time, fun will be had by all! ARRRR!

I think you said it best me bucko! Went something like this, if I recall correctly. **yawn** off to add 1 more computer to my current 4.... Only I shall substitue 37 for the paltry 4. Guns are a blazin'! Ye got spunk! ARRRR!

Aye matey! And we all know how resourceful ya be!

I don't care, go ahead and overtake us! I'm off to make friends with the manager at the local Best Buy.... see you all later...

(after that I head to Circuit City, and then Frys, and then the OTHER Best Buy, and then to PC World, and then to Jamba Juice for a break, and to see if I can install something on the cash registers, and then I go to the local MUG and force everyone to Fold, and after that I find Christian Bergmann and make him switch over from Team Mac OS X to Macrumors....)

Shiver me timbers!
