and its STAX!
You don't even know how to spell it and yet your calling him a 'Stacks' legend!!!

GRRR.

Okay, sorry.

I can't stand it when people do this, RIP you will be missed, never forgotten blah blah blah..

Then ignore it. I can't stand it when people say they don't like something and then waste their own time posting about it, when they've done nothing beneficial to anyone.

Yes, its very sad when somebody dies, but what is the point of making such a fuss, 'youll never be forgotten' i'm sorry but in a few weeks no one will speak of him.

Nonsense, I still talk about JB and Esther Philips to people quite occasionally, even though they're both long gone.

Oh and you mean "You'll never be forgotten", and I'm also quite sure that "i" should be capitalised. Quotes should always be in quote marks too, not apostrophes. There should also be a semicolon after "forgotten".

Sort your own grammar/spelling out before you accuse others of getting it wrong.

It's just the whole someones died lets all make a big fuss and pretend we loved them syndrome...

I do hope you're not religious, I'm not but that's one easy way of offending a Christian.

My next door neighbour died, I didn't like them so I don't go round now pretending I did, (I don't slag them off, but I don't build this person up to be some Christ like figure)

Is it really necessary?!

Guys calm down a little...!

I'm the one who needs to calm down when you were the one who posted something like "Grrrrr" in your post?

thecritix has all the bells, but very few whistles, if you get my drift. :p

Perhaps because he is a music student, who also teaches young ones,, he thinks this gives him the right to rant in a thread such as this one?

Wrong.

Wow, you spent all that time typing and said nothing. Why did you even read the thread?

Quite..

Nonsense, I still talk about JB and Esther Philips to people quite occasionally, even though they're both long gone.

But does anyone listen?

Well its kind of important you get the spelling correct at least of the record label your calling him an icon of... otherwise people get the impression you don't know what your talking about...

I do hope you're not religious, I'm not but that's one easy way of offending a Christian.

It doesn't bother me offending people who spend their lives worshipping something that doesn't exist. It seems they have bigger problems..

I'm the one who needs to calm down when you were the one who posted something like "Grrrrr" in your post?

Fair point, it just frustrates me when people just grieve for the sake of it..

What?

In any case, as a music student if your going to grieve at least call him by his name and grieve for him as an artist rather than a cartoon character!

*loses interest*

IMO it's sad that Isaac Hayes is only known as the voice of Chef and for writing the Shaft tune, a lot of his work was far better IMO, but he's known for none of it. Shame.
