Hi,

The Chess program that came with my Mac is suddenly doing something weird. It will not let me move the majority of my pieces. It gives me the error sound, and puts the piece back. I am not in check, and am absolutely certain that the move is legal (I want to move a pawn forward one space. I have a couple of games going, and it does this on all of them.

Is there a way to reset it? I have tossed the "com.apple.Chess.plist" and it still won't let me move.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

White is in check from the Queen in the pic you posted. No pawn move for White is legal in this position.

[EDIT] White's in trouble ...

Also having difficulties

Hey I'm also having trouble with Chess on Mac. I'm not very good at chess (as you can see by my brilliant position on the game board), but I was wondering why i can't finish the game. I know that I don't have any legal moves left and it's my turn, but why won't the game end? Is that just the way Mac Chess works, or did I do something wrong?

Thanks!
