I don't see the problem. The correct finger was used to unlock the phone and pay for things. The issue is poor parenting. The iPhone worked perfectly and as designed, actually.

Never miss an excuse to hang a -gate on something! ;)

I want to know how such a young child figured out all that. When I was 6, I was lucky to not accidentally kill myself by eating the wrong thing, falling out of a tree, etc.

Was climbing trees a sanctioned activity?

When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to climb the trees in our yard or climb out the second story window onto the roofs but I still did it. Funnily enough, not something I'd try doing now. Children can be quite fearless.

Looking back, I'm really grateful for all of it. If I could be half as active now, that'd be great. I think where I grew up, if you didn't climb trees or walk around barefoot you'd be the odd kid out. Fun times!

Smart kid. Wonder what else she's got up to that the parents don't know about yet! Haha.

Pretty ingenious. But why we the mom sleeping when her six year old was not being supervised?

What if the kid simply woke up before the mom? Are you supposed to have a crib and a baby monitor for a 6 year old? I'm pretty sure I used to be up watching cartoons and playing Nintendo on Saturday mornings before my parents when I was 6. Seems like a pretty normal childhood thing.
