Stopped working out of nowhere. Good thing I had my phone on me, to see the notification, or I would’ve missed an important package. I have nine OG HomePods, six Minis and three Ecobee Smart Thermostats, all selected to chime and not one of them chimed with my Logitech Circle doorbell press. Just tested and not so much as a peep from any of them. This crap never ends. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi Itinj24, I'm also having the same issue.
iPhone and iPad notifications work, but no HomePod chimes.
Regards.

HomeKit, HomePod and iOS 15 has just been a heaping pile of moist donkey dung

You are more polite than me. I couldn’t agree more. It’s an embarrassment. The whole team involved in this needs to be sacked and their top level management booted out too. It’s a show!

@StumpyBloke. Its much worse than you think. The problems are not only related to homekit. Apple Music has been really clunky and buggy for a few weeks now, with many little bugs (such as skipping tracks for no reasons when playing an album).

Pretty much, yes. I´m started to suspect that the issue is not so much the software but the Apple severs for the homepods. Its the only explanation for Siri working fine one day and not working at all the next day.

Its most recent comedy act:

Hey Siri play (radio station name).

Siri: To do that, you need to authorize the Deezer app to play on the homepod (!!!).

Me: WTF, I have apple music. I never, ever, have been an user of Deezer.

Me: Siri, play (radio station name).

Siri: Sure, here it is (radio station name), on tune in.

Me: Sigh...

Unfortunately, you are absolutely right. Yesterday Siri got even worse for me and when I say “hey Siri TV Time“ it now turns on or off the TV depending on its state rather than set a Philips hue scene which has been set up for years. If I tap in the home app the relevant scene that works.

No one will convince me that anybody at Apple uses this **** storm that is Siri. It gets worse every single week without question and it needs killing off. Apple are genuinely a joke of a company now.

Removing and adding back Doorbell resolved for me.
Was pretty quick.
Which doorbell if you don’t mind me asking? I just added to two WeMo doorbells in the last few weeks and they both worked for only a day each.
