Chinese in Word and Illustrator

Hello

I work for a company with a design team that needs to paste in chinese text into a Word document and a CS2 Illustrator document. However the text comes into the documents as blocks.

What is one to do to fix this?

does the machine have Chinese fonts in the OS?

actually we just had success, not sure if it was moving Trad/Simp Chinese up under English in the international settings, or if it was adding them to the input menu, frankly we dont have the time to figure out which one did it.

HOWEVER

haha now we are having an issue using Chinese fonts in Quark 6.52, this has always been a pain. We can still work without it, but it would be a HUGE!!!! time saver if we could get this working.

When we copy Chinese text to a quark document, it just comes up as ??????????.

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm going to continue on google, I will post if I find anything.
