Hey guys, I'm sure this is a no but the other day despite my leather sleeve and absolute obsession to keeping this MacBook in good shape, I chipped the bottom left and area of it (on the aluminum) somehow on the end. its a small chip, but still frustrating. Does, or can, Apple repair damage like that? or has anyone had any experience doing a repair?

Thanks,

Josh

Apple will do the repair but it won't be covered under Apple Care. They frustratingly won't tell you how much these things cost to do, but be prepared to shell out the big bucks.

If it doesn't affect the functionality on the laptop then don't worry about and just use it. A laptop is a tool in the end and will get marks over time. Apple recently replaced the topcase on my macbook pro because the trackpad failed. It was covered under consumer rights so I didn't have to pay for the repair but it would have cost £380 after tax and labour.

Not really worth spending silly money on a repair if it's only cosmetic damage.
