Hi friends,

I recently noticed a small ding on the corner of my macbook while cleaning it off my hard shell casing.
Would this affect my applecare warranty?

Thanks!

No I believe on where and how big the mark is, for example a dent on the display can damage the display, if the dent is big enough, from what I see NO it will not effect you AppleCare in anyway.

You should be all set. I don't believe the mark you display should cause any issues with the warranty.

This is not really an answer to your question, rather a testament to the build quality of Macs.

My 2010 Air took a rather nasty fall on my bathroom tiles a couple of years ago.
(I can't be the only one who drags my computer with me to "the office", right?)
The fall left a MASSIVE dent in the corner:

But the hardware was left completely unscathed.
No dislodged fans, no broken screen, nothing.

Poor Air, that thing suffered through hell with me.
It's in a better place now.
