Can you open .chm files on a Mac?

I have a PC right now and the file says "Compiled HTML Help file" in the Properties>Type of File

It opens with: Microsoft® HTML Help Executable

I used to use CHMOX but realized that it didn't have a search feature, so I found this and then tried Chamonix, but upon opening a chm file, I got a whole bunch of jibberish.

Anyone got other software that works with 10.4.11 Tiger Macbook intel core 2 duo?
