iPod touch Chmods necessary?

r all those chmods necessary if all my apps r working fine without them, should i do it anyway for future apps or am i fine the way i am?

if u use winscp
chmods are the exact same thing as changin the properties to 0755

if they work fine thats ok

o ok but if i do the chmods, does that mean i wont have to go in and change it to 0755 every time?
