Choices for camera lens protectors?

It's held on by a sticky back. It's more likely to fall off than cause damage when removing. Will the ring get easily scratched? Probably, but I don't worry about that with protectors - they're designed to be cheap and easily replaced when they no longer look good.

I have not as I go caseless. The top and bottom of the ring just slightly overlaps the antenna lines above and below it. As long as the case has a large enough cutout for the camera it should work. From looking at pictures online, it appears that some cases will work, others not.

Gold really looks good on yours. I have SG and leaning towards silver which will conceal the scratches better. What do you think?

Basically what you're getting is an inexpensive extended aluminum ring that sticks out further than the glass. There is no additional glass. Its going to help when putting the phone down on a flattish surface to prevent the glass from touching that surface.

An additional comment on the ring: the more I look at it the more I like the look of it. without the ring, the lens sticks out just enough to be annoying. With the ring you get this bolder looking lens which I think looks kind of cool and unique

Following up on my post, I got one of those rings. Doesn't look bad, and definitely gives me more peace of mind when setting down the phone.
