Does anyone sometimes get this choppy animation when exiting apps? U know, that "zoom out" animation when u close ur apps? Sometimes I don't even get the animation. It happens mostly with games, or heavy apps. It is normal??

iPod touch Choppy animation when exiting APPS!

Its probably happening with large apps that require a lot of the resources on the iPod. Just as you said, "heavy games".
You can probably reduce the choppiness if you close some apps on the "multitasking bar"
