Choppy Flash video playback issue - Seemingly NOT heat related

Some flash videos and particular sites cause my MBA to overheat and results in choppy playback, but for the most part the temp isn't a problem. Generally the temp is just fine, but as I progress through the video it gets more and more choppy. Eventually it's unwatchable. It doesn't matter how long I leave the MBA to rest/cool (minutes or hours) the playback is just as choppy when I restart.

I'm confused because I thought the playback issue was related to heat

Any ideas? My apologies if I've missed the answer in another thread.

    Thanks :)

Graphics card issue? Thats unrelated to heat. I'd take it in to get Apple to look at it.

DVDs and all kinds of offline video formats seem to play just fine. Would that means it's not the video card?

What are the specs? Flash hits the CPU pretty hard on OS X. What CPU? What drive, HDD or SSD? What version MBA? Sounds normal for an original MBA. Sounds abnormal for rev B MBA. But someone else reported similar a short time ago. If you are using the original, do you have Cool Book installed?

Is it streaming video over Internet? Are you sure your Internet isn't too slow?

Sorry, should have includes those details. It's a rev A, 1.6GHz with HDD. I don't have CoolBook installed but would that help if the temperature isn't rising more than a few degrees during playback?

Yup, streaming internet video. But I have a fast connection and make sure the entire video loads before I start playback, so that buffering isn't an issue.
