Hey guys and girls, just wondering if you could give me some input. I've got hte 2.4ghz 17" macbook pro, but I notice that in OSX it will be choppy sometimes. (scrolling through web pages, walking in world of warcraft, turning in world of warcraft). My FPS is fine, yet I'm still getting non-fluid movement. In windows under bootcamp, web pages scroll in a fluid motion, and im fixing to see how wow performs on windows. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? I'm thinking a background app...

Look at the activity monitor (in finder menu; Go>Utilities>activity monitor) and take note of the processes that use the biggest share of RAM and CPU.

Well i restarted and made sure that nothing was running while I launched WoW and I was now getting Low FPS and skipping. Both in wow and internet browsers. It's a very noticeable difference between my windows partition and my osx partition. Windows not only is running my games better, but also my browser . I checked the system monitor and nothing is taking up enough of my resources to even note... Please! I don't want to have windows on my mac just to play WoW :(

Yea for me, games (generally WoW), run choppy. They have a high fps but the gameplay is choppy for somereason, can't really explain it, it's just not fluid. I kind of got used to it...

how long has it been like this? does apple know this is a problem, and are they trying to fix it? I hate having to go into windows just to play a game which should work on mac. :(
