No, Apple doesn't do Christmas discounts, although some retailers might.

The only sale apple does is its black Friday sale, nothing on/around Christmas time

I find that the Apple Insider price guide is usually a good place to start looking for good deals:

Rare to find better legitimate deals than the lowest prices on there...

Don't forget to check the refurb section at the Apple Store also:

These refurbs come with a standard Apple warranty and from my experience are as good as new...
