So I'm home for Christmas. My dad got a new macbook Air, and is trying to migrate his iPhone from a windows 7 PC. Obviously, we've had plenty of problems. And we've solved almost all of them. But there's one that has me absolutely baffled:

Why does iTunes on the Air believe that some of his apps are iPad-only apps. For example, opentable is showing up in iTunes as an iPad-only app, and so I can't sync it to his iPhone.

Is there a way to correct this error?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Some apps are written for iPad or iPhone only. I looked up opentable in app store and it shows two different versions, 1 for iPad and 1 for iPhone.

If the app is written for iPad only, it will not load on an iPhone.

Here's what I don't understand, though. These apps were previously on the iPhone. So they shouldn't have switched, right?
