I tried it for 2 weeks. During that time my laptop battery was awful and it was always hot, very hot. It got as hotter than when I used photoshop to process photos. I would say it's not worth using on a Mac unless you absolutely "need" it. I gotta give it to Apple, safari is extremely energy efficient. I only had 1-3 tabs open in Fidelity during this time.

I use Vivaldi.
Plenty of other browsers out there besides Chrome or Safari. It's not a binary choice.
The only time I use Safari is when some specific purpose requires it. Other than that, you can give it (back) to Apple all you want. I hate Safari with all the passion of a white hot sun.
