Chrome Keeps searching for french sites - My language is set to english

Chrome keeps returning my search results (the majority of the time) in french. Even though my language settings are set to English and I search everything in English. Except for some reason my results come back in french.

Ive already gone to my settings/preferences and set my language to english and Ive done a malwarebytes scan.

Edit: Just to clarify, your OS language is set to English or your Chrome language is set to English? Make sure both are in English.

As stated in #2 above, confirm if both OS and Chrome language is English.
If that doesn't work, I guess you'll just have to buy a black beret, and start chewing garlic.........

Everything on my computer is set to English. The only things that come back as french are Google Chrome search results. And it's not even all of them. Most sites are good but some randomly show up french. And lots from Google searches.
