Has anyone really noticed a speed difference? Honestly chrome often loads quicker side by side.

I know technically safari should be quicker, but that hasn't been my experience lately.

I have found it to be faster after Jailbreaking and doing a few tweaks (Nitrous & Browser Changer) to make it just as good as Safari. But on my iPad mini Chrome is definitely slower than Safari. If you don't mind doing these tweaks, Chrome s can be just as fast. Im going to run some tests :)

Make what you want of it. These are my personal results. Yours may vary.

Realised for iPhone, looks like Chrome has more screen real-estate as compared to Safari...

I use Safari btw, but sometimes I may use Chrome as well (For fun).

People need to realize that

Chrome, like any other third-party browser on iOS, is just safari wrapped in different skins and without the nitro engine

Conclusion: Chrome is a much slower version of safari on iOS, with the added ability for google to rape your privacy.

You'll only notice the difference on websites that make heavy use of Javascript.

I would use Chrome so I could take advantage of Chrome sync, but the lack of Nitro and being able to set it as the default browser has me using Safari

It is irritating, because each browser has features which I particularly enjoy.

For me, Safari just feels more stable on IOS, plus it has reader and full-screen landscape.

Chrome has swipe-to-next-tab and readily-accessible incognito (though I really don't need it, I think it is a neat feature).

In the end, I went with Safari on all my apple devices (imac, air, ipad, iphone).

Lately chrome.

Am I the only one who thinks Safari needs a "View website in desktop mode" function? Its lack of features overshadows its speed when it comes to javascript IMO.

Opera. Tab switching is like how it is for the system. (alt + tab and a list pops up just like the system and tab to any open tab. alt+tab quick release for last tab you were on).

Does mobile safari even have the ability to restore tabs after a crash yet?
