I prefer Chrome because I find the syncing way more elegant (iCloud consistently aggravates) but the tab-refreshing behaviour is killing me. Users have been complaining about this for over a year now and Google just won't fix it.

You'd use it if you used chrome on your Mac instead of Safari, and wanted to sync up your bookmarks, history and passwords.

That's it's purpose, and it does it well. Obviously if you use Safari on your mac then Safari on iOS makes perfect sense.

If you use Chrome to Sync Passwords you are doing it wrong!

Everything you just mentioned Chrome does, Safari does too. I use the iCloud tabs all time. But yes i can see if you have to use Windows why you might use Chrome on iOS. But as good as Safari is in Mavericks there is no chance I'm switching back to Chrome on my Mac. It's not even close at this point between the two.

This is the problem though. Many of us *also* use Windows machines regularily. Safari on Windows?

Un-usable. Period.

Chrome is the only option which is why I've been finding I've been using Chrome on iOS far more than Safari lately. I'd *love* to use Safari more as on iOS 7 it's absolutely wonderful, but without a viable option for when I'm on a Windows machine - I'm using Safari far less and less.

Makes sense with the steady climb in US iOS marketshare over the last 12 months. Those folks are switching from Android and if you are using Google services heavily then it makes sense to use Chrome since it auto-launches other Google apps for you when you click on links that Google apps can handle.

The Google apps on iOS are designed to keep you in Google's services as much as possible.
