Cine Display Burn-in

Just got back to my room and noticed my computer was off (I think my drunk friend stumbled in and turned it off). Anyways, i get back and the display has images burned in on it. It definitely didnt have this last time I was on the computer a few hours ago. Will the burn in fade away or is it here to stay? If i leave a white screen on will it fade?

Jopling, is that a 23" Cinema display? I bought one and had nasty ghosting, took it back and later found out there was a bad batch produced.

The burn in should dissapear as the screen cools off, so don't use a white background. Shut if off for a day or two and see if the display still has the burn in. If so, get it exhanged...

How do I get it exchanged I've nearly had it for a year now.

Edit: And yes is a 23 inch cine

Edit x2. I just left it on a yellow background for about 5 minutes changed the color profile back and forth and it looks normal again.
