Cinema Display Dead Pixels Question

Today, I all of a sudden noticed 2 dead pixels on my cinema display. The strange thing is that I have had this monitor for almost 5 months and could have sworn they were not there because I ran a dead pixel test first day I got it.

I was just wondering if pixels can "die" through regular usage of the monitor? Might it go away?

I've had mine for about 3 months and there were 0 dead pixels when I first had it. I noticed one stuck pixel (red) about a week ago for the first time. Frustrating for a $900 display.

Just a FYI that a glass plate in front of the 24" cinema display screen makes this impossible. First you have to remove the glass if this ever should have a possible way to work.
