Cinema Displays.. worth it for the lack of inputs? Updates soon? Worthy buying now?

my sig says it all. a 23"er in the post! wooooo! im so excited, i was gna wait but screw it, i like the current spec one so its not like im gna be dissapointed is it! :D look, when i bought my mac mini there were rumours that a new one was just about to come out, and tht was like ages ago! youll kick urseself wasting ur time waitin for apple to release something,
cos it never happens when you want it to!
 
Quite, but I can see the new displays prices going up when these so called new LED ones hit.

New tech is always a high premium, look at the prices when the current ones first hit. It was through the roof.
 
Clarification

Wait so can someone clarify for me then? Do the ACD's produce High Def? 1080p? Because I'm in the same boat and I also wanna know if I should go with the Applie 23'' Display. Its 800 bucks, but I'll be hooking up my 360 to it, as well as using it for my computer, as well as TV and I wanna make sure it can do the best it can.
 
The current displays are good, but I apple will be rolling out new displays this year, could be next month, could be December, the decision is yours.
 
New cinema display near?....

Monday 04 of June, I bought an Apple cinema display, my surprise is that, Apple me the delivery from the 16 of June ......., I called to Apple Store asking because they took as much and they said to me that it came from Chinese to Holland and Holland to Spain(my country). (or they are sold much and they had the empty warehouse, or, it is that they bring the new ones).

Well today in "el corte inglés" (is a big spanis shop) and a Web store in Internet, cinema did not have Apple display, in "el corte inglés" , said to me that they did not bring because they were hoping new models and in store of Internet put very textually: - This product is obsolete but we have not been able to find a substitution product automatically. -.
And it is here where it begins the rumor…

and the desire (everything is necessary to say it) to see that new they hope to us.
Somebody knows if they are on the verge of leaving new models?

P.D: I have returned to call to Apple store, and it does not deny the possibility of a change (we go ...... a WWDC as always can bring all type of surprises, and that retardation of almost two weeks can be that it is change, but does not assure it), we go that they have left me with more doubts than before.

grrr. yeah, what now? i want to get a new cinema display next week... any chance of these ever being upgraded with an LED backlight, or is an ACD too big for that at this point?

I am not sure, but I do know that Backlight isn't such a big issue on Desktop monitors is it is on a portable laptop. The apple display is awesome as it is tbh.
Go to the store and stand in front of one. If it makes you want to buy it(which it will) then get it.
