So I just got my Apple Watch Series 2
3cd1c11c802c9339eccee60169b0196a.jpg

on Tuesday and noticed little circles around the corners of the Watch. Is this normal or is mine defective? I'm posting a picture as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sorry for the Hairy arm. Lol.

Mine doesn't have them. I assume you're pointing to the little white dots? Kind of hard to tell if they're light reflections.

If you're in a dark room are they illuminated? I couldn't live with that.

I see 4 big green circles. I would be annoyed by those, too... :D

I don't really see what you are indicating. Your picture has way too much reflection.
Do you see the problem when your W screen is powered on?
Can you go to a store that sells the W, and compare directly with other display models?

Yes, looks like a (poorly applied) screen protector.

Where did you get that watch? I'm guessing not at an Apple store.

Could still be a shipping protector on the screen, but you did say that you ruled that out (How?)
Let us know what you find out when you have someone at an Apple store take a look at it.

Just to update. First let me say it was not a screen protector. Just left the Apple Store and they confirmed that it is something under the screen. Secondly I bought the Watch from T-Mobile phone customer service last Saturday and received it on Tuesday. I know I was lucky. They will have to ship it out and it will be 2 to 6 days. The Genius checked in the back but said he didn't have any in any color. I could have went through T-Mobile but I'm hoping Apple will have better replacement stock. I know I got really lucky getting this watch the first time through T-Mobile so fast. Just sucks I only had it a couple days. But I did add Apple Care +, I'm paranoid now. Only good thing is while obsessing over the circle I saw light scratches so I'll definitely be putting on a screen protector, I'm hoping they send a new one instead of repair.

Also the Genius said that Apple doesn't really keep in store replacement that much anymore. So I asked about the IPhone. Because I by AppleCare to have issues fixed on the spot. If I have to wait I would rather just get the carrier insurance for my phone. But she said most phone instances they can fix on the spot.

Also don't know why I feel the need to prove myself but here is a little proof. Tried to show enough without giving away my info.

Definitely a good thing it's getting replaced. That would bother me as well. And some Stores have Watch replacements and others don't. The Stores in my area do have replacements.

See that makes me mad. Maybe thats why it was the only one with an appointment for today. My thing is you have the Watch they should be able to just send a new one out Tomorrow or Monday at the latest. They can fix that one a sell it as a refurbished Watch or something. By the way I'm in Los Angeles so I would think they would have some replacement.

I can understand that. And your correct, they should send you an express replacement device for your inconvenience. I share your views.

I have seen the circles before and it is not a screen protector. Look like small air bubbles under the screen and it does not need to be on a corner and can be on any of the bent edges. They are defects for sure and my friend got his watch replaced with just one of them.

I wasn't even focused on the dots. It was the crooked line around the edges that had me convinced. Apparently that's inside the glass. Interesting defect. Good luck getting it swapped out quickly.

Yeah, I definitely understand. I usually avoid device problem threads because my device will be perfect than someone brings up something and then, "Bam" my device starts messing up too. Lol. But I'm not tripping about it being defective I'm more perturbed that I have to wait for a new one. I really wish they could have replaced it yesterday. If I had had it for a couple of months I probably would be happy to get a new Watch but I only had it for a few days.

Just to update my new watch came in today. Looks good. Now off to Bestbuy for a screen protector.

Glad to hear Apple replaced it quickly, as far a a screen protector for the watch goes I think your just wasting money. The screens on both the aluminum and SS watches are very durable and scratch resistant. My wife and I each have an original watch hers is an AW Sport and mine is an AW SS, we have had since launch have worn them daily and neither has any scratches on the screens.

But YMMV and you may feel more comfortable with one, either way good luck with it and enjoy
