Hi,

It seems as if my computer is plagued with something. I sometimes get a blue / light blue (divided into fourths) icon under my pointer and I often get a colorful spinning circle under my pointer. When these things pop up I'm unable to click on anything or do anything.

How do I fix this / what's going on!?

Thanks.

The computer is busy when that happens. It's the same as seeing your cursor turn into an hourglass on a windows pc.

The beach ball, it means your current application is busy. Many times upgrading your Mac's memory to maximum amount helps eliminate that. However, that is not always the case.
