Yep, I won't dispute that, except to remind that some people (like myself) will happily pay a small performance penalty to play in OS X when the opportunity is available.
From my experience there has never been a "small penalty" for playing games on OSX. The performance is typically very poor more often than not.
Switch to boot camp for games, easy peasy. I don't feel there should be complaint on how it runs on the machine if you aren't running it optimally yourself. Your machine can boot camp, utilize it.
