I dont get peoples lust for thinner/smaller/lighter/different with every updated iphone.

The iPhone 4 is the perfect balance of size to hold, carry, read and watch.

Not sure why you got neg voted, obviously sarcasm and humor are unsettling concepts for some readers to appreciate, leaving them confused, bewildered and scared - so you got neg voted.

In regards to the topic at hand, as others have pointed out, how do we not know this is not from a 4S? Can we have a comparison chart / diagram to show the differences from the 4/4S model that prove it is in fact from the forthcoming 'new iPhone', and not said current model.
I've got to ask? What's the difference between this and an iPhone 4/4S sim slot? He could have just got it and claimed it was from the iPhone 5.
The old form factor is possible, but a new form factor can also still be possible.
For what we know the picture is that of a hardware testing prototype. There were reports that the hardware of the "iPhone 5" was tested in "iPhone 4/4S" shells...
So everything is still possible.

If Apple decides to foist off the same old design on buyers for the third time in a row, it'll be proof positive that profit taking is all they care about.
Whatever happened to the Apple we once knew? Ultimate greed corrupts like no other.
Nonetheless if there's one thing that can be counted on, buyers will take anything Apple serves up, and keep coming back for more.
Sales of the heavily recycled model will skyrocket, the gullible will be thrilled, and the statistics will scream towards the trillion dollar mark as Apple continues to learn how far they can push their customers around.

turn off all internet services (push, twitter, FB, e-mail, icloud) and don't use it for music or anything and it'll last that long in standby for sure *thumbup*
So.. this is an iphone 4/4s tray and macrumors has just done a load of free advertising for SW-BOX.com.
So.... A website that sells stuff instigates an iPhone rumor* and then MacRumors and other post it thus making people aware that said website exists.

Assuming of course the naming convention follows generation number (which has only happened once with the iPhone 4)

News that slow they report on a sim Card supposedly for new iPhone which is identical to 4S tray? Could it not just be a 4S tray?

Seems that this is exactly what the post says, an iPhone 5 sim tray meaning that it is the sim tray from an iPhone 4S.
iPhone 4GS is coming in October 2012.
I can easily see Apple recycling the same 2 year old design and calling it the iPhone 4GS, 4G data and Speed with the new A5X processor. They will continue to sell it and rack up the profits.
As for Apple being in it for the profits, of course they are and if you thought otherwise you are sorely mistaken.
