Dear Forumers,

Anyone experience Clamshell mode not working?

I have a MBP 15" 2.66ghz with Snow Leopard 10.6.4

I've done all there is - enabled bluetooth, AC plugged in, but every time I close it, it will sleep and not respond to my bluetooth keyboard or mouse.

Bluetooth devices are allowed to wake computer too.

My external display is a Samsung LED tv, and connected via MiniDVItoVGA.

Am I doing something wrong or is this combination not working?

Have you enabled Bluetooth devices to wake your computer?

System Pref > Bluetooth > Advanced

If the Above isn't the case, Not sure what model macbook pro it is (latest?) but if you've got a 3rd party graphics card switcher (e.g. the brilliant gfxCardStatus) and it is set to integrated then the computer will not work in clamshell (has to be discreet card).
Took me ages to figure it out

Thanks for the replies guys. It works now. :D

I had to wait for about 5seconds for the computer to wake after I wake by Bluetooth device. I think it was unusually long though.

Will test this a few times and report again.

(was afraid my mbp was one of those where the Ext display won't work in clamshell mode)

Thanks!

Max
