Clamshell mode with AppleTV

I have an Apple TV an a 13" MacBook Pro an want to be able to close the lid when watching programs.

is there anyway of putting the mac into clamshell mode without having a keyboard, mouse an if possible a power cable but this is but not essential?

It depends on the model, but it will be somewhat muffled. You can boost internal speaker volume with Boom.
