Hey. I would like a quick and convenient way to search for windows based viruses on my mac, as I download attachments here and there and share Fat32 drives between my computers. Is ClamXav a light and fast enough virus scanner that I can EASILY delete once I use it? I have had virus software in the past, and it screws up my entire computer and impossible to uninstall, yet it is deemed *necessary* by industry standards. So will ClamXav leave any trace of its existence once I simply uninstall it (by dragging it to the trash bin). Thanks.

I have found ClamXav to be fairly lightweight. You need to run the Engine Remover (you can download from the ClamXav site) to remove the AV engine and then simply bin ClamXav.

I too have found ClamXav easy to use and fairly unintrusive.
