I have seen much better leather bands on watches. The Apple one just does not feel like a premium watch leather band. At first I thought it was synthetic . Each to thier own I guess

I'm sure you have, though i've not seen anyone put one onto an Apple watch yet, all the 3rd party bands in photos so far have been much worse.

Though personally I think the leather loop with magnets in is awesome in all the colours it comes in, i've not seen many leather bands on other watches i prefer, not usually much of a fan of leather bands to be honest, but I like this, probably because they don't look strictly leather.

Does anyone know exactly which size pentalobe screwdriver I need to do this swap? I tried the one he linked to in the video, but it was too small - I'm not sure if that's because it was the wrong size, or because it was low quality.

anyone know what size bands will fit on the 42mm watch? He was using a 22mm band in his video, and it looks like it could fit a slightly larger one...

You're probably right.

I use 22mm bands with my 38mm Watch. The 42mm Watch is 2.6mm wider, so perhaps a 24mm band for it?

Btw, I'm using the adapter that comes with this band from Amazon Prime:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X3L4X9C

(When I got it a couple of weeks ago, it only cost $21.99. Now it's $26.99. Increased demand, I guess.)

Best thing about that adapter is that it uses regular Phillips screws, not pentalobe. So you just need a precision crosshead screwdriver from a cheap eyeglass repair kit / or whatever.

Yeah, I've been looking at that, it's like an adapter with a "free" band ... got alerted by Amazon last time I logged in about the price hike. Dammit.

All that aside, how's the quality on the band itself? It looks like nice thick leather. I was thinking they had a "regular" and a premium version, but I'm only seeing one option now.
