As the finish of the Classic Bucke is different to the sport, is it possible to buy the Classic Buckle, take the band out of the metal connector, and add it to an aluminium adaptor for 22/24mm bands?

Theoretically, yes. But if you just want a leather band for your watch, you can get a better deal by just buying an adapter plus a regular watch band. I've been on the lookout for an aluminum adapter for my space grey sport watch, but haven't found one yet that is actually shipping.
