Is it possible to make a bootable external drive with 10.4 and Classic on it and use it on a non-intel G5 os10.5 main computer? I want to upgrade to 10.5 but can not lose my classic setup for one program I still must use.
Thanks

Yes as long as the external drive is bootable - some chipsets for the FireWire to ATA or FireWire to SATA bridge don't support booting.
