Classic tones glitched in 8.1?

I've had the same text tone since 2008 (Bell) and it doesn't work all of a sudden in 8.1! if I click on the sound in settings, it does nothing unless I press it a few times. all the new tones work. it was working fine for a while until yesterday. anyone else experiencing this?

also please no suggestions to restore. I'm not putting all these apps and songs and movies on here again just for a text tone 😛

I noticed this to with some sounds too, classic and new it sometimes takes a few taps to hear the preview

I noticed that from this week. I don't get too many texts anyway so it could have started earlier.
