what if I compile it for Panther using an PPC emulator with Mac OS X 10.4? (such as QEMU)
ok, after some weeks I'm start to setting up the virtual machine using QEMU for arch linux (recently I moved from Windows 11 to Arch Linux) and I had some problem to get the source code from internet, so during evening (it's 22:12 in Italy) I'll spend some time trying to setting up Leopard from the original retail dvd I have.

what mean those errors?
also, good 2022 macrumors

How viable would it be to port Minecraft 1.5.2 from Java to C? Do you think we could even get newer versions running this way, bypassing Java entirely?

Perhaps more feasible to fix Java :)

Java 8 kinda builds for ppc, currently failing on AWT libs. Perhaps can be fixed in a few days of intense work, I just can’t force myself to do it in one go: it fails, and I don’t touch it for months.

oh, ok
EDIT: same result, but what is the purpose of http.c?

Http.c is responsible for authentication with the ClassiCube infrastructure. I tried to fix this in my fork so it’d work on Tiger like it does everywhere else… apparently I’ll have to roll that back if it cannot compile.

Unable to play Minecraft on lower end G4’s or G3’s? There’s a solution to that! Enter ClassiCube: a continuation of Minecraft Classic written in C. Relatively recently I had the opportunity to get it compatible with G3’s through persistence. It runs with about 20 FPS on a 500 MHz G3! https://home.macintosh.garden/~retroreviewyt/classicube-ppc.html

You can't destroy the computer with the instructions people are giving you. Thousands have installed Tiger with no problems. Besides, it would be the hard drive that would fail, not the computer, and even then if an error occurred you just reformat and reinstall.

oh, but even then, i dont have the money to spare on yet aniher Mac OS install disk, im trying to save for collage

oh ok, I watched a few videos recently and they all talked about needing a CD, Will a SD card Usb adapter work? my USB drive wont fit into the port
