In order to use my Apogee Jam96 it has to be run through a DAW. I like the amps modeled in Garageband 10 but sometimes I just want to play my guitar through a real pedal and speaker/amp but still use the Jam96.

Is there a 'clean' way to run the guitar signal through Garageband? Should just use the Amp Collection Project and shut off the amp and effects or would one of the other Projects not associated with guitar amps be better to use for my purpose? Thanks

I use Logic on a daily basis and haven't used GarageBand since 2011, but if I remember correctly you can surely just create a new audio channel? That would come with no presets or effect. It might default to a vocal track or something, but you can absolutely feed in dry.

Thanks, I'll try that.
