Clean install or upgrade to SL?

What do people recommend? Doing a clean install of SL and losing everything and restoring it all from time machine, or just upgrading to SL?

so a search. this topic is coming up every 5 minutes. it's getting to be a nuisance.

While clean install is what most people recommend and that is what I was going to do, but I thought I'd try the upgrade. I have no complaints it went amazingly well and everything runs smoothly so really it depends how quickly u want leopard installed and if you want to take the opportunity to "clean" the OS.

Upgrade - quick and simple - up and running in no time

Back up everything. Try the upgrade path first. If anything goes wrong then do Erase and Install.
