Clean Install Saving Some Files

Ok I have a load of C Rap on my macbook pro.

Just installed a new drive and Time Machined the old system back on. But I still want to free up space. And get rid of old apps.

I only want to keep Music, Video and Photos. Nothing else.

Ideas?

yeah thats good for getting rid of apps and their files but I want to back up Media and clean the whole system. Getting rid of Useless doc files pdf's etc.

I'm guessing the only thing to do is search for "Music" and drag and drop to external. Then do the same for Movies and Photos.
