Hi all,

I'm about to do a clean install of snow leopard on my old white MB. Question. Am I able to pick and choose files from my TM back-up to transfer to my clean HD? I understand that just restoring my last TM back-up is NOT a clean install, but I do want to keep some of the big stuff (movies, music, photos) hence the question.

Also, I just got more RAM today (going from 2x1GB to 2x2GB). Is there any benefit to putting in the RAM before the clean install? Will everything transfer more quickly? Or does it even matter?

Please forgive my newbie-ness. Somewhat new to computers.

Thanks!!!
