I un-enrolled my 2017 mbp from the beta program, restarted holding comm & r (no '-'), wiped my drive, and installed the final release. Took about 15/20min. I'm now presented with a fresh copy of Mojave. ..just fyi

Option-CMD-R should install the latest available OS according to Apple documents. You can try it without messing up your original partition. Just press the Option-CMD-R buttons and let it load the latest OS. If you see Mojave installer it is good and you can wipe and install from there, otherwise, you might need to wait a few days. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904

I did a clean install on my mBP TB. Just created a usb install media restart, hold option key, and choose the install media. Format the SSD, done. Worked like a charm .

Why on 2018 it says security cant install from usb drive
You need to hold CMD + R and change the settings just to install, after you can turn it on again.

I think is related to the T2 security chip on 2018 MacBook Pro. I think you have to disable some settings before doing a usb clean install.

Sooner or later you will have to install Mojave, why not to start now.

He wants to fresh install Mojave instead of upgrading from High Sierra, but the T2 chip is preventing him from doing so
