Hi
Today after 6 months of use I decided to clean my apple wireless keyboard. So I turned it off and took all the keys out and cleaned it with damp paper towels. (not dripping, just damp)
After am hour or so of cleaning I placed all the keys back and tried it out again. I had to set it up again with my Macbook Pro so I followed the bluetooth setup assistant instructions. The keyboard got detected right away and then asked me to enter a string of numbers and then hit return to pair the keyboard. I tried using the regular numbers as well as the number keypad's keys but it doesnt seem to detect any input. Then my mac tells me that the pairing attempt was unsuccessful.
I thought that it may be the batteries that were too old so I replaced them with brand new ones tonight but I get the same results.
What else I could try?
