Cleaning Apple stuff....

How does everyone clean all their Mac stuff and accessories - I have just purchased an apple cleaning cloth and tried using it on my Dell 27" display with some distilled spray on water but it has smeared pretty badly 🙁

My iPad and iPhone seem to buff a lot better and easier with it but then what about the different watch bands as I notice a few of my fabric ones are starting to look a little grimy now....

And what would you suggest for my MB Pro M1 screen ?

I use ~50% isopropyl alcohol diluted with distilled water solution on a soft cloth then polish with a dry microfiber cloth. The alcohol mixture is mainly to help remove skin oil, which seems on par with Apple’s own recommendations/suggestions:

For example:

To clean hard-to-remove smudges or fingerprints on the display or exterior of your Mac, you can use a cloth moistened with a 70-percent isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to gently wipe the display or enclosure of your Mac laptop.

Speaking of displays… The oleophobic coating (i.e., iPhone, iPad, iPod, Watch) will wear off eventually with normal use — some users have stated it’s about one to two years. However, indeed, isopropyl alcohol will scrub it away quicker. Of course, you can dilute/reduce the alcohol further to reduce the abrasiveness.

As for watch bands… I haven’t (yet) used the fabric or fabric-like versions. For the nylon, silicone, etc sport bands:

• If notably sweaty: Briefly/lightly rinse the band with the isopropyl alcohol mixture than wipe with a dry, soft cloth
• Otherwise: Wipe down with a lightly dampened cloth of diluted alcohol solution or water.

My 2015 iPad Pro still seems to have a nice coating.
I use a spectacle cleaning cloth (no additional spray) to remove fingerprints.

I wash my hands probably on average once an hour and wipe my iPhone, iPad, Watch, etc multiple times per day. Nevertheless, if I use just a dry or lightly damp with distilled water cloth, microfiber or spectacle (I assume, you mean those included with eye/sunglasses, binoculars, etc), wiping eventually results in oil streaks (not typically visible when using the device, mostly when looking at the light reflecting from an angle).

my pet peeve is the MacBook Air-pro smidges on the screen
I have a nice micofiber cloth and wipe all the time (screens) which works...ehhh
next week, should I add a ™cloth to the menu?

Probably not.....😛
Never clean it 🤣, there possibly are small streaks left behind, but not so much that it bothers me.
