DON'T CLEAN the MBP display.
That's right, don't clean it -- at least any more than absolutely necessary.
WHY I'm posting this:
The display surface on these has a very thin "sprayed on" anti-glare coating. Just sprayed on.
Almost anything you do to the surface is going to start wearing on that coating, with a good chance of degrading it.
That's what "StainGate" was all about -- folks who had entire patches of the anti-glare coating flaking off, looking like "stains on the display".
OK, the screen will still "get stuff" on it. We know that.
My advice:
Use a soft cloth, and if there's dust on the display, just "dust across" it -- NO pressure.
If something is on the display that won't come off this way, moisten the cloth and use as little pressure as possible to dislodge it. Then... "dust dry".
The BEST practice is to adapt usage habits that minimize the possibility of the display getting dirty in the first place.
