I need safe way to go about cleaning my computer; such as the screen.. Any tips?
Distilled water and a microfiber cloth.
What is iklear? where can i get it? and does it work well?
iKlear is a cleaning liquid apparently made for LCD screens/laptops etcetera. You can check it out here.
I, however, try to just multiple clean small towels/microfiber cloths and distilled water. Similar to this video link, but I dont use a Magic Eraser.
It's officially sanctioned by Apple.
And no silly perfumes, alcohol, ammonia etc.
The kit will last about a year or two if you once a week or every other week (on larger machines).
Apple sells it at the Apple store, and you can get it online.
I've also seen 'Klear Screen' products at frys.
I should've thought of this a long time ago!
Awesome. I'm going to look into it. Thanks for the help!
I just use a camera/lens cloth to wipe the screen.
+1 for iKlear ... it is amazing for cleaning your MB
Hahaha, I laughed my ass off.. Thank you!
Do you need to clean the insides of the MBP? I guess it collects dust and stuff over time like everything else, but how would you go about cleaning it? Do you need to open it up, or can you for example use canned air to blow the fans from outside?
Another vote for iKlear. Works great and a of it bottle lasts a LONG time!
Vote 3 for iKlear - picked up a bottle at a black friday sale 3 years ago... still using the same bottle
Apple has stopped selling iKlear at their stores and online. E.g. Look at http://store.apple.com/us/product/TS833LL/A, "Ships: Discontinued".
