My MP7,1 is ± 1 year running (not all the time) in my dry ,somke-free, regularly cleaned studio.
Nevertheless, I can see that there is some dust formation on the front grill of it.
I would like to know how to clean it properly.
Can you please advice?

Take off the top cover, blow the dust out with compressed air. If you can, do it outside on maybe a towel or something to protect the bottom of the Mac Pro. That way the dust won’t simply blow out into your workplace and eventually back in to the Mac Pro.

Compressed air, work from the front to back. Wipe down with a cloth afterwards. This isn't rocket science.

Thanks! I have purchased here in the authorised apple shop a Spray duster non flammable (400 ml) - recommended by them. Next, I have removed the MP7,1's cover (always feel good to do so) and cleaned the cover separately. To my biggest surprise, the inside of the MP7,1 was not so "dusty" much. Nevertheless, I have cleaned the inside with compressed air 2 x. I did not wipe the inside of the MP7,1 after compressed air cleaning, so there is still some "very fine" dust sitting on some surfaces. As I do not have a suitable ESD safe (computer safe) brush or something similar to remove those dust particles, I have closed my MP7,1 and in a very short time my setup (I am using it for my studio) was is running again. If you can propose how to remove completely the dust (is it really necessary?), I will do it next time.

You are far more likely to ruin the machine with physical intervention (brushing, wiping) than just leaving a fine layer of dust. Just leave it alone.

I use a microfiber cloth to wipe the Mac Pro case. You really don’t need anything special.

One of the best aspects of this machine is its modularity, its my personal choice but I really enjoy how easy it is to take the components appart and dust them, it just speaks of how good the Mac Pro design is.
