what is the most effective way to clean my Powerbook? keyboard, track pad, and aluminum frame?
i was thinking a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol?

You may want to stay away from using solvents on the trackpad, unless you want to post a "I cleaned my trackpad and it stopped working" thread.

Seems to be quite a few of those all the time.

Don't know if rubbing alcohol was bad or good from trackpads.

whatever you do---- DO NOT USE nail polish remover...

I tried to clean my 4G iPod 20GB and totally ruined the look of it (kind of melted 🙁 😱 )

Do yourself a favor and go get some actual notebook cleaner. People may prefer one specific brand, but I think most of them are about the same so I get the cheapest I can find. I clean my keyboard, trackpad, lcd, and case with the same cleaner and a soft cloth.
