When I had a PC, I used TuneUp Utilities alot for the registry, etc.

I know it is probably not needed, but is there a similar type program for the Mac. My machine came with MS Office 2004, but after the trial, I just uninstalled it. Now I got a copy of it and am using it. When it looked for updates, it asked me which version I wanted to update like it still found it twice on my machine. Any help. Thanks.

I assume to uninstall, you just drag it out of your applications, but do some programs still leave residual files, and if so, what programs are the best for this.

For a better "uninstaller" type app, try AppZapper.

As far as an app for tuning up your Mac, you can't go wrong with OnyX. You can use it to execute all the Unix maintenance scripts as well as do some other cool things with your Mac.
