Hey guys I am not entirely sure if this is a Yosemite issue but it is a problem I have been stuck with for the last few DPs. So whenever the last iMovie update was my computer attempted to download it and failed but after some fiddling around it did eventually download. But it downloaded it in a new file and left the old failed download stuck in launchpad. So now I have a blank icon with the title "iMovie" and and empty loading bar hanging out in my launchpad. I have tried deleting the app from launchpad as well as removing the working version of iMovie and reinstalling it all without any luck. Does anyone have any other suggestions because all of the other advice I have seen said to go into /Library/Application Support/Dock and remove the .db file to reset it but this folder doesn't exist on Yosemite. Thanks guys!

There's this thread and this thread that talk about stuck/phantom downloads in Launchpad.

I just searched for "stuck launchpad"
