Been looking for a plain clear TPU back case for my Air all week but all of them have a weird "S" design on the back that looks terrible. Just found the second no name one you posted and I'm thinking I'll order that.

I ve used it on my ipad 3/4 and its one of the best. But i ll have to wait the cheap alternatives from ebay... 30 dollars is way too expensive.

TeckNet

No name (not compatible with smart cover :p)

TeckNet is the one I have ordered for now to use temporarily until one of the better ones is available in particular the SwitchEasy Nude or Coverbuddy.

Speck says there's is coming soon so that's another option I'm looking at as they have a magnet on the back to keep the Smart Cover from flapping about.

I've ordered the Poetic Thinshell from Amazon. It says in stock on 10th November.

When I bought one of these for my mini it arrived scratched up. Got a replacement and that got badly scratched within days, and I was very careful but the plastic seems very soft.

I might get this from Speck:

Speck SmartShell with a magnet strip

That is a good one as is the SwitchEasy Nude and Coverbuddy cases. Those would be my recommendations.

Picked up the Belkin today. Love it.

In my experience and from what I've read about others experiences its not a good quality product. As I stated in the other thread mine only lasted a few months. My SwitchEasy Nude back cover has lasted me eighteen months now.

Is anybody else pissed off that all these back covers have this cutout for a Smart Cover? I just want the shell I don't want to use a Smart Cover. Smh

That design actually looks really nice for a cheap case from China little hesitant on it being a "hard" plastic case that snaps on though (given the thin Air's seem more fragile). I am looking for this but a more flexible TPU.

Thanks for the heads up though

There are a lot tpu options out there :)

The one with the classic curved line in the back

The Schutz Hülle

Planning to pick up an iPad Air this friday (my first iPad ever!)

I usually keep my electronics naked but I kind of feel like the iPad needs a case if only to make it easier to grip.

What are people's opinions of TPU cases? Not completely sure what that is lol!

I found this on amazon which looks nice, slim and covers the whole back (not interested in a smart cover right now). But there aren't any reviews and I can't find any user feedback when I google it.

Anything like this that people would recommend? I just want the slimmest lightest back case I can get (or I might go for a skin instead...not sure yet)

TPU cover is all I typically use around my house. I don't put screen protectors on anymore either but I don't have any small children in the house either. If I'm taking the iPad with me, I'll put it in a lightweight leather case for the day. So far it works really well with just a TPU cover. It keeps the device light and it's easy to grip. My Air will get the same treatment. I haven't scratched one yet.
